Pygora Goats
I started raising Pygora goats in 2007 and have enjoy many years of working with these great little goats. I enjoy their size, their personalities, and their luxurous fiber. I have been involved in the Pygora Breeders Association as a committee member and board member, and eventually became a licensed judge.
However, life takes many turns, and due to a wild fire that came down our valley in July 2026 which wiped out my barn as well as fencing and other out buildings, I have decided to retire from breeding these great little goats. I am boarding 2-4 does at a friends place, so will have still have a very small herd to help me keep my sanity! And will likely breed 1-2 does a season, so may still have some cute Pygora kids each spring. But my goat herding will look a little different from this point on. I hope to get some photos of the remaining goats posted here soon.

Photo of the burnt barn. Our house is to the right of this photo and was miraculously spared. We did not have time to hook up the trailer and haul the goats out, as the fire came down the hillside so fast, so I had to just open the gates and hope they would be smart enough to stay away from the fire. Some how all the goats survived! This was taken right before the trailer came to pick them up the day after the fire.
